Moorpark
It is believed that the town of Moorpark is named after the Moorpark Apricot, which used to grow in the area. Originally inhabited by the Chumash Indians, Moorpark is situated 5 miles West of Simi Valley and is bordered by state-protected green spaces. The City is divided into two areas by the Arroyo Simi River. Moorpark is home to a friendly community and boasts small town appeal and close proximity to the big city amenities offered in nearby Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.
